2017 ShirtWe would like to thank all the sponsors of our annual 5k run in Seaside Park, NJ. Without your dedication and generous support and sponsorship, we could not be as successful as we are and would not have the ability to give back as much as we do the community.

The run is held in memory of our dear friend and fallen soldier, Sgt. John Lyons. Sgt. Lyons grew up in Seaside Park, attending Central Regional High School. He was a graduate of Rutgers University.  Upon graduating college he went on to serve his country as an engineer in the army. He was part of Operation Enduring Freedom, assigned to 8th Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas. Our dear friend and hero was killed on October 26, 2011 in Afghanistan, just four weeks before he was due to return home.

Please take a second to patronize our sponsors.

Advertise-your-business-hereWe would like to offer you the opportunity to sponsor our annual 5k run in Seaside Park, NJ.

Sgt. Lyons, as a soldier, was extremely motivated, receiving numerous honors and awards.  Some of which are, The Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, NATO Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, The Overseas, Army Service and National Defense Ribbons, and The Global War on Terrorism. We chose a run to reunite and remember because John was a dedicated runner.  He led his team to victory in the annual Bataan Death March in New Mexico (a marathon in the desert).

In his honor, a group of his friends, including myself and my sister, Jennifer and Lynne Padavano, will be holding an Annual 5k race in Seaside Park. Every year we are selecting local charities to donate the proceeds to. We urge all sponsors to come and join us!

Thank you for considering sponsorship of the 5k run. Your sponsorship of this event will be published for our participants and viewers to see.  Below are details for the sponsorship levels. Attached is a form that can be completed and mailed with the donation to Jennifer Padavano at 211 24th Avenue, Seaside Park, NJ 08752. Please contact me, Jennifer Padavano, with any questions or concerns regarding the event at This email address is being protected from spambots.
